A Product Update Redefines a Market Space

When VeriSign introduced a major enhancement to a core product, every page of existing content had to be reviewed and revised. New content had to balance promotion of the new features with product essentials that guide new purchases.

With just six weeks to review, develop, and proof new content before development, they turned to Nimble Press. We created informational pages for educating customers about the new features based on their needs and updated a compare page to focus on the top 10 features that differentiate VeriSign from competitors and the products from each other.

Our Process

  • A content audit, a review of text and analytics for every page, helped us identify 60+ pages for modifications and revisions.
  • User scenarios revealed content gaps to be addressed with new pages or additional content.  They also helped us review messaging priorities for both new and renewing customers.
  • A content map with key phrases, terms, and statistics helped us differentiate between the four products, a requirement for users to be able to compare and choose a product for purchase.
  • Staggered review ensured that key content was reviewed and approved first to reduce iterations and maintain a consistent tone, voice, and message through all the content.
  • Nimble Press reviewed page mock-ups and provided input to help the design team visualize abstract ideas such as online security, trust, and malware scanning.
